After a year focused on reading, students and families at Harris-Hillman School were ready for a little book-related fun.
Students, staff, families and friends were invited to a book fair last night at the school. This wasn’t like a book fair you might remember from school. Nope. Did your school book fair have farm animals?

The Harris-Hillman fair included a petting zoo, pony rides, volleyball games and tons of fun for the school community. Principal Hampton called it the school’s most successful after-hours event ever!
The fair is the culmination of the school’s year-long literacy focus, which has heightened interest in school library materials and increased student engagement. Congratulations to the Harris-Hillman Dragons on a terrific event!
